J.M. Wormington - Senior Fly Fishing Guide

Hi, I’m J.M. Wormington, a passionate fly fishing guide based in Hamilton, MT. Originally from Incline Village, NV, I’ve spent years perfecting my craft and guiding anglers on some of the most iconic rivers in the U.S. – including the Bitterroot, West Fork, Clark Fork, Blackfoot, and Missouri.

I spend around 100 days guiding and 30-50 days fishing each year, introducing newcomers to the rewarding world of fly fishing. Whether it's teaching someone to cast or sharing the thrill of a first catch, there's nothing more rewarding than seeing people connect with nature through this sport.

On the water, I row an Adipose Drift Boat and a SOTAR raft, tools that help me guide clients through the beautiful rivers I know and love. Fall is my favorite time on the river, and the Skwala hatch is a highlight of the season for me.

When I’m off the water, you’ll likely find me at Grano enjoying some great food or grabbing a pizza at Higher Ground – both spots are perfect for unwinding after a day on the river.

Fly fishing isn’t just a job – it’s a lifestyle. If you're ready to learn the ropes or improve your skills, I’d love to help you experience all the magic fly fishing has to offer.
