Freestone Fly Shop offers full or half day guided flyfishing trips and full or half day scenic float trips in the heart of Montana's most beautiful scenic rivers and streams. Local area waters including the Bitterroot, West Fork of the Bitterroot, Clark Fork and Blackfoot are all within easy reach. We use only experienced and professional guides to ensure the quality of your experience. A typical day starts out by meeting your guide at the fly shop or other predetermined location. From there, your guide will discuss the plan for the day, to include where to go, what to use and what time to expect your return. Scenic Float Trip $595
You can expect your guide to be punctual, professional and courteous throughout the day. They are independent contractors and supply all of their own equipment and gear, including flies, tippet, vehicle shuttle and more. Therefore, a guide is usually very appreciative of a 20% gratuity or more.
Yes. Freestone Fly Shop will have quality equipment for you to use during your trip.
No. this will be something you must rent or borrow from someone. Often times these won't be necessary. Ask your guide if you are unsure if you'll need them.
Our half day trips will be on the water for up to 4 hours. Our full day trips are on the water for 6-8 hours. If you have certain time constraints, please discuss with your guide ahead of time.

Terms and Conditions
A deposit is required to corfirm your trip. 20% of the cost of the trip is due at the time of booking. The remainder cost of the trip is due 7 days prior to your first scheduled date. If you cancel your trip with less than 30 days' notice, you forfeit your entire deposit. If you cancel your trip with less than 7 days' notice, you forfeit the entire cost of the trip.
Montana's weather is often adverse, we do not cancel trips due to inclement weather. If you are concerned about the possibility of a cancellation, we encourage you to purchase trip insurance.
