June 12th Fishing Report

Posted by Jeff Gray on

June is the start of our summer fishing season and this season has started out spectacular. The folks who've shown up to throw big bushy salmon flies have been rewarded with excellent weather conditions and decent dry fly fishing on most days. Look for new insects entering the mix as the month progresses. Golden Stones, Sallies, PMD's and Green Drakes will all be available in the coming days. Flows are dropping daily and new obstructions will start to appear with the changing water levels. Be on the look out for unsuspecting river hazards.

RIVER FLOWS:

West Fork Bitterroot: 783 CFS
Bitterroot near Darby:2670 CFS
Bitterroot near Bell Crossing: 5720 CFS
Bitterroot near Missoula: 7190 CFS
